Boston Harbor

This piece is a four-part vocal round written for my “composing for instruments” class. A vocal round is a song form where 3-5 vocal parts sing the same simple melody, often in unison or an octave apart, and usually two measures after another.

In this piece was inspired by the Coffee Canon most youth choirs sign as a warmup. When I sang it, I remember thinking to myself “I wish they had a round about tea, I hate coffee".” While I am a frequent tea and coffee drinker now, the message stuck with me, and I wrote this little vocal round!
