About Mirche
Morgan Loomis is a singer, songwriter, composer, and educator from New Hampshire who is currently residing in the Bennington, Vermont to Concord, NH area, performing and sharing music as “Mirche”
With her heartfelt lyrics and instrument in hand, Mirche crafts songs sure to hook any listener and reel them in. Playing piano and violin since her adolescence, and writing songs into her teenage years, Mirche has always carried a passion for creating music and sharing it with others, whether through live shows and local events, group jams, or via the internet!
Inspired by artists such as Laura Cortese, Mindy Gledhill, Rachel Sumner, Katie Herzig, Joni Mitchell, Jean Ritchie, and Kathleen Parks, Mirche brings a new perspective to the world of folk, indie, acoustic, and pop. She performs at local venues and events, and is in the works of producing and releasing her music on streaming services very soon.

“I was always impressed by the beauty of her compositions, which were admirably well heard and imagined, and showed a marked gift for melody…In all the compositions there was a satisfying completeness, musicianship and an honesty which can't be taught.” -Allen Shawn, American composer, pianist, educator, and author
“Her covers had whimsical textural imagination. Violin scratches, coos, and synths were cleverly multitracked on her cover of Electric Twist. Her cover of David—which she also performed live as a plangent voice and piano solo—seamlessly incorporated voice messages to poignant effect. Her flippant cover of CeeLo Green had no less delightful textures.” -Nicholas Brooke, American composer, musician, arranger, and educator
